Are you craving a delicious chocolate treat but want to keep it healthy and hassle-free? Our guilt-free Brownie in a Mug is the answer to your sweet cravings! Here’s why you should whip up this delightful dessert in a cup:

1. Healthier Indulgence: Traditional brownies often come loaded with sugar, oil, and gluten. Our recipe eliminates these unhealthy elements, replacing them with natural sweetness from ripe bananas and the rich taste of cocoa powder. It’s a healthier option without compromising on flavor.

2. Quick and Effortless: Craving something sweet but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen? This Brownie in a Mug takes less than 10 minutes from preparation to indulgence. It’s the perfect solution for busy days or sudden sweet cravings.

3. Gluten-Free Delight: For individuals with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease, finding gluten-free desserts can be a challenge. This brownie recipe is totally flour-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.

4. Minimal Ingredients: With just 4 simple ingredients – banana, egg, cocoa powder, and baking powder – you can create a heavenly chocolate brownie. No need for complicated recipes or hard-to-find ingredients; this brownie is made with pantry staples.

5. Easy Microwave Magic: No need to preheat the oven or wait for the brownie to bake. The microwave does all the work, ensuring you have a warm, gooey brownie in minutes. It’s a simple, mess-free dessert solution.

6. Customizable Treat: While our basic recipe is a delight on its own, feel free to get creative! Add nuts, chocolate chips, or fruits of your choice on top. You can even add a layer of crushed Oreo and topping it with a mint leaf to pretend that it is a plant in a pot.

EQUIPMENT

  • Ramekin or mug: Choose a microwave-safe ramekin or mug with a capacity of at least 6 oz. It’s convenient to prepare, bake, and enjoy your dessert in a single container, saving you the hassle of washing extra dishes.
  • Microwave: In just 3 minutes, your microwave will transform this simple mixture into a warm and delightful brownie. If a microwave is unavailable, you can prepare the batter and bake it in an oven-safe ramekin. Bake the brownie in a preheated oven at 180°C/350°F for 15-20 minutes.
  • Measuring spoons: We will use measuring spoons to measure cocoa powder and baking powder.
If measuring spoons are unavailable, you can use a kitchen scale to get about 8g cocoa powder and 1g baking powder.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 banana: Mashed ripe banana acts as a natural sweetener, providing both flavor and moisture to the brownie. Its creamy texture contributes to the overall moistness of the dessert.
  • 1 egg: Eggs act as a binding agent, helping the brownie hold its shape. They also provide structure and stability, ensuring the brownie has a proper texture.
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder: Cocoa powder adds the classic chocolate flavor to the brownie. Its rich, deep taste is essential for creating a satisfying chocolate dessert without the need for chocolate bars or other high-calorie additives.
  • ¼ tsp baking powder: Baking powder is a leavening agent that helps the brownie rise, giving it a light and fluffy texture.
  • Optionally use melted chocolate, nuts, and fruits for decorating

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mash a ripe banana in a ramekin or mug, then crack an egg into it and mix until thoroughly combined. Add cocoa powder and baking powder into the mixture, stirring until it forms a smooth and well-combined batter.

2. Put the mug in the microwave and heat it at 100% power for 3 minutes.

3. Remove the mug from the microwave. Optionally, top the brownie with melted chocolate, nuts, and fruits of your choice.

It was still liquid when i look it out even though i put it in for extra time. Also, it kept overflowing in the microwave.

I WOULD DEFINETLY USE THIS RECIPE FOR MOTHERS DAY OR FATHERS DAY IF YOU PARENTS LOVE CHOCOLATE OR SOMETHING SWEET! For me I would use it for fathers day! My Father loves Chocolate. I could even replace the melted chocolate part with melted white chocolate! I would definitely recommend!

I ended up into more of a pudding gelatin mix but we put some protein powder instead of cocoa and it turned out really nice
