Is orange peel good for you?

orange peel

Yes! Orange peel contains more fiber and Vitamin C than the flesh. It’s also rich in  provitamin A, polyphenols, folate, vitamin B6, and calcium.

Studies have found that orange peel is able to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol. Dried orange peel can be a healthy snack for you, if you want to improve your digestive system, strengthen respiratory system, or just boost your overall health.

Here, I have another amazing snack recipe for you, if you’d like to eat more orange peels:

winter hot orange tea

As someone who has seasonal allergies in the winter, freshly brewed hot orange tea is my unbeatable cold weather comforting drink.

After nibbling an orange after lunch, I knew I had to do something with the refreshing smelling orange peel. Meanwhile, Mr He was boiling some hot water for his afternoon tea. And I decided to use the orange peel as my tea filter today.

This warm and refreshing tea was just so easy, fun, and environmentally friendly to make! I’m so happy that I gave it a try.

Hope you will also enjoy it on a cold but sunny winter afternoon.
